The Christ Connection

At James Samaritan we believe that we have all been created by Jesus for a purpose.

Its this belief that propels us to encourage and support those from hard places, such as children and families in foster care.  Our mission is to share with everyone the value we each have in Christ.

Our leadership team is dedicated to praying for the needs of those within our community.  If you have a need that you'd like our team to pray for please email: john@jamessamaritan.org

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Its not always easy to let go and let God, as we have heard in many church circles.  We want to hold onto control and make things better when they aren't as we planned.  The problem which exist in that strategy is we are not placing our full trust in Christ, as our Provider.  We are essentially counting on Christ to be our backup should our plan go wrong.  We aren't placing Christ and His plan as our focus, but simply wanting Him to back our intentions and plans.  We were created uniquely and powerfully to fulfill a purpose that God alone establishes for us.  As much as you may not want to hear this, your opinion of what life should look like doesn't matter.  That does not mean you do not matter, it means we are here to serve a much greater purpose than ourselves.  The peace that transcends understanding, and fills our hearts and minds, only comes when we place all our trust in Jesus.

Do you know He is good?  Do you believe He has you in His hands?  Are you willing to turn over what happens in your life to Him?

Christ loves you.  So much so that He died to have a relationship with you. (John 3:16)  He is worth trusting, and He asks that you place faith in His ability to take care of you.
